Feeling Trapped Is Damaging Your Psyche

You’d be surprised how many busy professional women I work with who are feeling trapped on the inside while appearing successful on the outside.

If this is you; know that you’re not alone.

Women feel trapped by many aspects of their life. They’re trapped in unhealthy relationships, unfulfilling jobs, multiple health problems, and roller-coaster emotional swings despite their basic needs being met.

Feeling trapped hurts.

Feeling trapped produces anxiety and depression. It leads to hopelessness and despair. It’s a repetitive emotional pattern that is damaging to your psyche.

Here’s Why

Show me a busy professional woman who’s feeling trapped while suffering in silence and you’ll see a woman who will inevitably do one of two things:

  • Explode hurtfully onto others or,
  • Implode painfully into herself.

Ladies, this has to stop!

We have to find a way to healthfully and lovingly release our trapped feelings. A way that does no harm, to you or others.

What’s Needed?

Usually, something drastic and dramatic happens in your life that causes you to release stored, trapped feelings.

This dramatic event is painful and results in a very big shift. Rather like an erupting volcano that leaves in its wake a changed topography. That’s how your body and psyche release the pressure of stored, trapped feelings.

While this event will release you from feeling trapped, it leaves plenty of external and internal damage.

I’m not in favor of waiting until something big and dramatic happens in your life causing you to shift.

What I am in favor of is small, manageable shifts that you can healthfully and safely control.

Baby Steps to Empowerment

Many clients come to me in need of a variety of shifts.

Their wish for a quick fix pulls at my heartstrings.

While I wish I could wave my proverbial magic wand and make it all go away, they, and I, know that’s not realistic.

What I’ve learned over the years is that in order for long-lasting healing to occur, baby steps to empowerment must be taken.

  • It’s a process.
  • Done step-by-step.
  • In the right order.

You see, each step along the healing path that leads to empowerment is important and builds one upon the other. That’s because each step imparts a healing lesson. And as you take each step, the lessons unfold in such a way that you learn through them.

In other words, the lessons learned will empower and strengthen you. Then, you won’t need a magic wand because you’ll become the magic wand!

Isn’t that exciting!

Help Along the Way

Of course, this healing journey toward empowerment is best done by a guide, someone who has “been there, done that.”

That’s where I think I add the most benefit. Because I’ve walked this healing path myself, I’m able to guide you along the way.

I know the way.

I can teach you which steps to take and in the optimal healing order.

You may be saying, “I can do this by myself.”

To that, I push back gently and lovingly by saying, “Yet, you haven’t.”

You haven’t found a way out. You’re still feeling trapped.

Freedom from the emotional patterns that are causing you to feel trapped require that you do two things:

  1. That you take small, actionable steps.
  2. You do them in the right order.

When you do, you’ll release the physical illnesses that caused you to feel trapped. You’ll be free from the emotional swings tearing your world apart. You’ll stop exploding hurtfully onto others and no longer implode painfully into yourself.

Instead, you’ll feel free, empowered, and able to create a new life story. One that inspires others to start their journey of health and healing. Self-empowerment is the key. I did it. So can you! I’m here to help.
