Women and Fatigue — Turning Fatigue into Flourish
Fatigue is a genuine concern for busy professional women.
Worn out and weary, women in the U.S. named fatigue among their top five health concerns of 2017, as reported in Web MD’s annual health survey.
The causes of fatigue are many.
However, they all have one thing in common — self-neglect.
While it is true that occasionally fatigue is a symptom of other underlying conditions that require medical treatment. Most of the time it’s a lifestyle factor.
In this blog, I’ll show you what you can do to turn fatigue into flourish.
Am I tired or fatigued?
There isn’t anyone I know who doesn’t complain about being overly tired from time to time. This is only temporary fatigue. It happens to all of us, is short-lived and remedied by rest.
What I’m talking about is that unrelenting exhaustion that lasts a long time, is more profound, and isn’t relieved by rest.
It’s that nearly constant state of weariness that develops over time and zaps your energy, motivation, and concentration, impacting your emotional, physical, and psychological well-being.
I know you know what I’m talking about!
Aren’t all women fatigued?
Many professional women would scream: “Yes!”
It often feels as if being a woman and fatigue go hand-in-hand. Existing together though not beneficial.
Ladies, we have to get to the bottom of this fatigue issue. We can’t keep going around feeling so tired!
We have to figure out what is the deeper meaning of all this fatigue!
How is it even possible for you to think that you’ll be able to accomplish any of your professional and personal goals in such a state of fatigue?
TURNING FATIGUE INTO FLOURISH
Imagine waking up refreshed, providing your body with nourishment, feeling energized and invigorated throughout your day. Imagine showing up in your life being the best possible you.
Yes, that’s what I’m talking about!
I’m talking about a life that is flourishing. Not one that is floundering.
I’m talking about bringing your health back to life. And ultimately empowering your life.
If you’re reading this, I know two things about you:
- That you’re experiencing the unrelenting exhaustion of fatigue.
- That it’s meant for you to take back your health and empower your life.
Here’s what’s you need to know
Most busy professional women don’t realize that fatigue, generally, has its basis in self-neglect.
Now, before you throw up your hands and give me a million reasons why your fatigue is not self-neglect, consider these points:
- Fatigue is a condition of illness.Illness is in your life and will continue to be in your life until you learn how to heal it. If you haven’t healed it yet, you have some more self-care to do.
- Fatigue is a condition of being out of balance in your work and family life.I get it. You’re a busy professional woman with much to do. Consider this, you will do it so much more effectively if you treat yourself well and your work and family life are balanced.
- Fatigue is a condition of declining professional growth.Your professional growth will get stunted if you haven’t cared for yourself enough to energize your body and your spirit regularly.
Many women feel uncertain about what steps to take and how to turn feeling fatigue into flourishing.
